Gandang Kara, Felip (of SB19), and realme Philippines to be Awarded “Hall of Fame” at the 5th VP Choice Awards

The 5th VP Choice Awards (VPCA) approaches, bringing recognition to outstanding individuals and brands who consistently capture the hearts of the Pipol. Notable names honored with the prestigious “Hall of Fame” accolade include Gandang Kara, Felip (of SB19), and realme Philippines.

Understanding VPCA’s Hall of Fame

The VP Choice Awards’ Hall of Fame distinguishes brands, companies, celebrities, and personalities securing three consecutive wins in the same award category. It signifies their unwavering popularity and the consistent preference of the Pipol.

During the subsequent year’s awarding ceremony, recipients will receive their trophies. For instance, those who secure wins in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th VPCA editions will receive the Hall of Fame recognition in the 5th VPCA. However, they won’t qualify for nominations in the same award category for that year.

Gandang Kara: Female Radio DJ of the Year

Gandang Kara, a prominent figure in radio, receives the Hall of Fame award under Female Radio DJ of the Year for clinching victory for three consecutive years, from the 2nd to the 4th VPCA. Notably, she qualified even after the category split into Male and Female last year.

VPCA’s Female Radio DJ of the Year aims to recognize the Pipol’s most-loved radio DJ who has consistently demonstrated outstanding talent in radio broadcasting, keeping listeners engaged and building a dedicated following.

realme Philippines: Mobile Phone Brand of the Year

realme Philippines secures the Hall of Fame award as Mobile Phone Brand of the Year, demonstrating consistent innovation and technological advancements in smartphones, winning from the 2nd to the 4th VPCA.

VPCA’s Mobile Phone Brand of the Year recognizes the people’s favorite mobile phone brand that actively promotes not only features but also the convenience of usage, elevating the lifestyle of Filipino users.

Noteworthy is SB19’s Hall of Fame award as Group Performer of the Year last year, while their fan base, A’TIN, received Hall of Fame for Fandom of the Year.

Multiple VPCA Hall of Fame Wins

Nominees and winners in the same category qualify for multiple VPCA Hall of Fame accolades by achieving three consecutive wins in the same category. To earn another Hall of Fame recognition, they must achieve three consecutive wins in the same category.

The official list of nominees for the 5th VP Choice Awards will be announced on January 13, and public voting will commence on March 5 to April 5, 2024. The awarding ceremony is scheduled for May 2024.
