Expo-ordinary: WORLDBEX 2025 pushes Beyond Sustainnovation
Recognized by 10Times as Top 10 Best Event in the Philippines, the Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX) returns this March 13 to 16, 2025 raising the bar higher with the theme, ‘Beyond Sustainnovation’. Taking place at two iconic venues: the World Trade Center Metro Manila and SMX Convention Center Manila, this is yet another year of celebrating the brightest innovations and discoveries in the industry.
WORLDBEX 2025 as the biggest premier construction and design exposition in the country, serves as a primary platform to not only showcase the latest advancements in the industry but also foster collaborations among practitioners to address and commit to the evolving demands of sustainable development. The worsening environmental condition at the present time stresses the urgent need to go beyond traditional sustainability practices and embrace an environment-conscious and resource-efficient approach.
Accordingly, the theme challenges the sector to adhere and share our commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals #9 Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure; and #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities. Moreover, such initiatives need more upfront yet creative strategies, this year’s edition is set to walk the talk through the activities and highlights of WORLDBEX 2025.
PROJÉTO Interior Design Competition 2025
Bringing you the first-ever installment of PROJÉTO: Ideas and Design Competition under the Interior Design category, this year’s competition is made to discover the brightest young talents across different institutions in the Philippines. Furthermore, with the title, “Spectrum: Renovating a Sustainable Diversified Primary Learners’ Public Special Education (SPED) Center”, the participants are challenged to design an ideal learning space for SPED students in a certain school in Pasay.
The grand winner’s design will be put into life through the passion project of WORLDBEX organizers —Worldbex Services International (WSI), in coordination with the beneficiary school officials. Moreover, this provides testament to our commitment to innovation and sustainability, and our social responsibility to give back to our community.
PHILIPPINE GARDEN FESTIVAL: Where nature meets creativity
Now celebrating their 4th anniversary, the Philippine Garden Festival (PGF) made through the collaboration of WORLDBEX with the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA) and Landscape Contractors & Industry Specialists Association of the Philippines (LACISAP) is preparing a lush local-inspired landscape architecture as special vignettes and a display of the country’s breathtaking flora and fauna. Moreover, Ronnie Traballo, the current president of LACISAP, stated that PGF showcases the capability, innovativeness, and creativity of landscape architects partnered with prominent landscape contractors. With this year’s concept, the segment will be focusing on “integrating sustainable innovation in resort development” which will be further elaborated in their seminars.
THE WORLD OF INTERIOR DESIGN
Showcasing the iconic work of the country’s top interior designers, the World of Interior Design brings us art, legacy, and ecology. Filling the curated spaces will be the Hubilla Design Group, IDr. Leo Almeria, IDr. Chat Fores, IDr. Suzette Cocuaco, IDr. Tony Adriano, and IDr. Eric Paras while Deco Central, IDr. Ron Baba, IDr. Sharon Bering, IDr. Isabela Robles Go, IDr. Hazel G. Resari, IDr. Tessa Prieto, the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID) President IDr. Paolo Castro, Vice President IDr. Cindy Fernandez-Beltran, along with their fellows, IDr. Ken Ferolino, IDr. Jigs Adefuin, and other interior designers from PIID Cebu, Mindanao, Panay, Negros, and Eastern Visayas chapters will showcase what they prepared for special setting. What’s new this year?
Well, it’s for the visitors to find out. But what IDr. Chat Fores tells us is, expect something “bolder and quite shocking”. Adding to this excitement is IDr. Leo Almeria —who coined the WORLDBEX slogan ‘the legacy continues’, teasing a focus on sustainability “not only in material but in our cultural heritage”.
THE WORLD OF ARCHITECTURE
Furthermore, WORLDBEX is at the pinnacle of the construction and design show in the Philippines featuring the latest works of the country’s top architectural firms. Under the ‘World of Architecture’ highlight, top architects from Visionary Architecture Inc. (Visionarch), DEQA Design Collaborative (DDC), WTA Architecture and Design Studio, Palafox Associates, LPPA Design Group, Inc./ LP Pariñas & Associates, Barchan + Architecture, Headroom Concept Design Visualization Co., Projects Design Plus Architecture Management Corp. (PDP + Architecture),

WORLDBEX LIKHA
Revolutionizing the craftsmanship of Filipino artisan produce and celebrating the rich and colorful tradition of the country, LIKHA pays homage to homegrown flairs in traditional weaving, pottery, paintings, sculptures, fabrics, finishing textures and textiles. A new introduction for this year’s show is the comprehensive art gallery featuring the finest creations of renowned Filipino talents, as well as the works of up and coming young artists. Moreover, with the Filipinos’ undeniable richness in creativity and passion, WORLDBEX Likha will have the visitors swooning for art, sustainability, and innovation.
WORLDBEX SUMMIT
Gathering the country’s experts and leaders in the building and design industry, the WORLDBEX Summit also provides a strategic goal to the global sustainability movement through a series of talks, seminars, conferences, and workshops. Additionally, look forward to insightful exchange of ideas from esteemed speakers who will be sharing their knowledge regarding the best practices and the latest advancements in the field. PDP + Architecture President and CEO Ar. Cathy Saldaña announces, “we will be having a developers forum” pertaining to the newest segment featuring experts from the real-estate industry. As Ar. Cathy said, this year’s Summit will surely be a jam-packed three days of learning.
