Maxie wins Drag Race Philippines Season 3

Hail to the Queen! Maxie takes on the crown as the newest Filipina Drag Superstar as the third season of Drag Race Philippines (DRPH) wraps up tonight, October 9.

Drag extravaganza runway on the finale

In the finale, the queens showcased their runway packages following the categories: First Time’s a Charm—an elevated look of the queens’ first drag outfit, Art Attack Extravaganza—looks that showcases beauty and couture of Philippine art and culture, and Come in Your Best Drag.

Maxie, Khianna, Angel, and Tita Baby—this season’s top 4 queens—left the judges and other drag queens who graced the final episode in awe, as they flaunt extravagant and fashionable packages that proved their spot in the finale.

Meanwhile, to even prolong the thrill, before hearing the judges critique and the queens’ talent show, Mama Pao, DRPH Host, announced Versex as this season’s Miss Congeniality, receiving the crown from Hana Beshie, who won the same award in the previous season.

Showing the queens’ Grand T.I.T.E.

The remaining queens competed in the Grand T.I.T.E. (Totally Impressive Talent Extravaganza), showcasing their talents. Angel gave a sultry and powerful performance of A.N.G.E.L, emphasizing her identity as a drag queen and a transwoman. Showstopper of Cagayan de Oro Khianna performed next, delivering daring stunts and full Khianna with a K experience as she performed to Khianna Wins. Moreover, the Live-Singing Drag Queen of the Universe, Maxie, delivered powerful vocals and dance moves to Laban, which she wrote and produced. Meanwhile, Tita Baby, San Juan’s Ultimate Campy Tita, performing Flying Higher, brought comedic and campy total package of performance.

Judging based on the episodes photoshoot, runway packages, and talent show, Mama Pao along with Mrs. Jervi Wrightson (formerly KaladKaren), Jiggly Caliente, Rajo Laurel, Jon Santos, and BJ Pascual—made the announced the top two queens: Maxie and Khianna; leaving Tita Baby and Angel eliminated.

Drag Race Philippines S3: Lip Sync for the Crown!

Being the most-awaited portion of every franchise’s finale, the Lip Sync for the Crown became even thrilling as powerful performers Maxie and Khianna vied for the title of becoming the Philippines’ next Drag Superstar. The top two queens delivered a neck-to-neck lip sync battle to Lipad ng Pangarap by Angeline Quinto featuring Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

After showcasing their lip-sync assassin-like performance, Mama Pao announced Maxie as this season’s winner, giving her the title of the newest Filipina Drag Superstar, receiving crown from Captivating Katkat, DRPH Season 2 winner, who also made her final walk in the show’s main stage.

As Drag Race Philippines wrapped up another thrilling season, fans look forward to future surprises and the journeys of the talented queens. With Maxie leading, the stage—set for groundbreaking performances—will uphold the legacy of creativity in the drag community.
