5th VP Choice Awards: DonBelle sweeps the Television Category for ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’

The primetime debut of DonBelle on ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ was a hit that swept multiple awards on the recently concluded 5th VP Choice Awards. The primetime show won the TV Series of the Year (Primetime). Meanwhile, It came as no surprise when DonBelle also bagged the Loveteam of the Year award for the third consecutive year making their tandem much stronger thanks to the show’s success.

Furthermore, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano‘s performances in Can’t Buy Me Love also earned them the Primetime TV Actor of the Year and TV Actress of the Year accolades and have truly made a mark in the industry. Indeed, these awards are the fruit of their labor. Their love team, ‘DonBelle,’ earned many fans during the eight-month run of their show.

Additionally, Vivoree and Karina Bautista, co-stars of DonBelle in “Can’t Buy Me Love,” attended the 5th VP Choice Awards Night and received the TV Series award on behalf of the cast and crew. Vivoree won TV Supporting Actress of the Year for her performance in the series, while Karina received the Female Promising Star award. Donny and Belle couldn’t attend due to their schedules, but they shared a video speech to thank the panels and their fans.

It’s no secret that many tuned in to watch how the hit show ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ will play out. Their debut primetime show showcased their versatility as actors. They shocked fans and viewers alike with how much life they brought into the characters.

The love team and the show remind us that having wealth doesn’t guarantee love or happiness. No matter how wealthy you are, the true happiness in life is in the moments where genuine connection is created. Also, it reminds us to be in the moment, because tomorrow is never guaranteed.
