The Modern Market Revitalizes Pre-Holiday Shopping Fix

The pre-Christmas cheer is here and with it are pop-ups that promise a fresh cornucopia of eclectic finds. One not to miss for that early holiday shopping spree is The Modern Market. Happening on October 11 to 13, 2024, at the Rizal Row, Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons. The Modern Market gathers various Filipino lifestyle brands together, taking your shopping experience beyond your social media feed.

Fairground Events is proud to present its latest pop-up concept that brings unique online finds IRL

Pop-up organizers Gel Sanchez and Johann Sanchez envision The Modern Market as their comeback to the bazaar business. The husband-and-wife duo are behind Fairground Events, a subsidiary of 3G Exhibit. Together, they have mounted several fashion and food bazaars across the metro.

Sensitive to the changing times post-pandemic, Gel and Johann decided to put a spin on the usual. “The Modern Market will feature diverse product offerings. We want to create a unique selection of trendy, modern products that reflect what people are interested in today, especially appealing to younger shoppers,” shares Gel.

Johann says that The Modern Market is also their way of contributing to the startup industry which has changed today’s consumer landscape. “Since the pandemic, there has been an influx of creative local brands and interesting food merchants that have started. A lot of them started during the lockdown but when malls started reopening, these businesses slowed down. Since most of the local brands are start-ups, we understand how it’s difficult for them to have brick-and-mortar stores. With Modern Market, we’re giving these entrepreneurs an avenue to have their own space in these large shopping malls and get the spotlight they deserve.”

Discover today’s if-you-know-you-know brands at The Modern Market. Fashionphiles will love Capsule, Lost Linen, The Daily Fabric, and Sanka among other clothing brands. Filipino beauty innovators like Five Beauty, Luxx Lash, and The Glow Collective will also feature at the pop-up.

In between shopping, one can also grab a bite courtesy of Spotted Pig, Hungry Homies, Jabronis, and Tus Tacos while filling up on Goo Cookies and Snowdays. Orphic and Madebyvia are where you shop accessories while you pick some home finds from sad girl scents and Likhang Arsilya.

“The Modern Market is really for everyone to enjoy. We have stores for men, women, teens, pets, and foodies! If you’re interested in creative local brands and good food, then this is for you,” says Johann.
