BarDa becomes fresh new faces of Closeup

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco, or BarDa, are the coolest newest love team to partner with Closeup Philippines for the highly anticipated part two of the brand’s interactive music video series. The music video had its grand launch at the “Moving Closer” Watch Party, held at the Ayala Malls Circuit Activity Center in Makati City last May 17.

The pair’s on-screen chemistry shone through onstage, as droves of excited onlookers and eager fans alike came together to cheer for and swoon over the pair even before they first greeted the audience. Felip (a.k.a. Ken of SB19) also commanded the crowd, oozing with charisma as he performed his popular rendition of Closeup theme song “Moving Closer.”

This collaboration with BarDa comes after the first iteration launched in February, which featured DonBelle’s Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. Closeup again chose to work with one of today’s most in-demand love teams for this second installment to showcase the unique freshness only the brand can offer. Where DonBelle displayed the intense freshness of “Team Red” for Valentine’s, BarDa was proudly “Team Green” at the event, flaunting Closeup’s cool freshness as summer comes to a close.

Moreover, the watch party was the long-awaited culmination of a series of interactive videos on the Closeup Philippines TikTok and Instagram pages, in which fans could vote on what would happen next at the end of every short video. It also comes as no surprise that the video reveal was met with deafening cheers from the gushing crowd, who quickly took to popular social media platforms like X to express their uncontainable kilig.

The full #CloseupxBarDa music video is now available for viewing on the Closeup Philippines YouTube page. The #CloseupxFelip #MovingCloser cover now available for streaming on major streaming platforms in the Philippines.
