Jason Fernandez Spreads His Wings with New Original Single “Anghel,” Out October 31

Singer-songwriter Jason Fernandez takes flight once again with the heartfelt release of his newest single, “Anghel,” available on October 31, 2025 on all major streaming platforms.

Known for his soul-stirring voice and powerful storytelling, Jason opens up about one of his most personal songs to date — a moving anthem inspired by love, pain, and healing.

A Father’s Love

“Anghel” was written as a tribute to Jason’s child, who faced difficult emotional challenges at a young age. The song captures a father’s love, the ache of watching someone you love struggle, and the hope for brighter days.

In this deeply moving single, Jason expresses a longing for comfort and warmth with lines like “Yakap ng ‘anghel’ ang kailangan ko, ‘yung maiinit sa malamig na yugto,” reflecting the universal need for care, hope, and emotional connection.

“This song has a special place in my heart,” Jason shares. “I felt the pain while writing it. I want people to remember that mental health matters — that it’s okay not to be okay. God is always there to guide us. Sometimes, we just need to hug someone who’s hurting and listen.”

Musically, Anghelblends pop and alternative rock influences, highlighting Jason’s emotive vocals supported by melodic guitars, strings, and pads. The sound reflects both the tenderness of the message and the strength behind it.

The song was written during a deeply emotional moment while Jason was traveling from Fort McMurray to Calgary, Canada.

“Before I could even start, tears started flowing,” he recalls. “I wrote it so fast because I was full of emotions.”

Working independently in Canada, Jason handled most of the production himself, with the support of his bandmates in the Philippines. The result — a raw, genuine recording that showcases a more mature and evolved Jason Fernandez.

“You’ll hear a different Jason here,” he adds. “I’ve changed the way I sing, and I’m learning new things every time I create.”

A New Chapter

From his early days fronting iconic Filipino rock acts to now thriving as a solo artist, Jason continues to evolve — both musically and personally. “Anghel” represents a new chapter in his career.

“Only now do I write everything from my heart, not just to make a song,” he says. “My influences have expanded, and my sound has grown with me.”

Following “Anghel,” Jason is gearing up for the release of his next single, “Patalikod,” expected later this year. Inspired by the story of a friend’s heartbreak, the song takes a lighter pop approach, contrasting the emotional depth of “Anghel.”

“‘Patalikod’ is funny and sad at the same time,” Jason shares. “It’s about losing direction — wanting to move forward but ending up walking backwards. It’s dangerous and uncertain, just like love sometimes.”

Stronger Than Ever

Jason is currently in the middle of his Canada Tour, set to continue into 2026. He’s also preparing to release two EPs, including the highly anticipated “Tuloy ang Lipad,” marking what he calls a rebirth of his artistic journey.

“I feel like I was born again with these new songs,” Jason says. “The vibe is fresh. My determination is stronger than ever.”

Jason also expresses his heartfelt gratitude to his fans, saying, “From the bottom of my heart, thank you. None of this would be possible without the people who listen, support, and believe in my music. I have so much ready for everyone, and I promise to keep pouring my heart into every song, hoping to touch your hearts and inspire your minds.”

As for collaborations and mentoring younger artists, Jason admits it’s a challenge balancing everything — but one he gladly embraces. “If you really love what you do, you’ll always find a way,” he smiles. “Time management is key — and of course, family always comes first.”

As he closes out 2025, Jason sums up his current mindset in two simple words: “On fire.”
