Made Chic: Style + Soul Weekend celebrates fashion with purpose

Made Chic: Style + Soul Weekend, hosted by Miss Kayce in partnership with The Velaris Residences, brought together creatives, advocates, entrepreneurs, and style lovers for a gathering that highlighted fashion with intention. The event blended style, sustainability, and community, showing how small individual choices can lead to meaningful collective impact.

Style with heart and purpose

Guests met stylist and author KC Leyco through a book signing for Always Be Chic by Miss Kayce, where she shared her advocacy for confidence, sustainability, and a more mindful approach to personal style.

The event also marked the launch of Made Chic’s debut capsule collection—a limited, slow-made line designed with circularity, creativity, and conscious craftsmanship in mind. Attendees explored pieces that reflect the brand’s mission of celebrating fashion as expression rather than excess.

Visitors also enjoyed a tour of The Velaris Residences Show Gallery, whose calm and elegant space perfectly matched the event’s theme of intentional living.

Sustainability in action

Beyond conversations about sustainability, the event practiced it at every turn.

  • Plant-Based Food: Guests enjoyed a fully vegan spread from merchants offering nourishing, planet-friendly meals.
  • Eco-Conscious Merchants: Carefully selected fashion, home, and lifestyle brands showcased responsibly made products.
  • Zero-Waste Efforts: In partnership with SoilMate, organizers implemented food waste segregation and bokashi composting on-site.

Environmental Impact:

  • 10 kg of food waste diverted from landfills
  • 0.33 kg methane emissions avoided
  • 27.30 kg carbon emissions prevented

All organic waste was processed through bokashi fermentation, turning it into soil-enriching material and keeping it within a circular system.

Gratitude to partners and guests

Miss Kayce also spotlighted the Made Chic Second Life Denim Campaign, which encourages the donation of used denim for upcycling. This year-round initiative supports circular fashion and extends the lifespan of textiles.

A growing movement

Made Chic: Style + Soul Weekend stands as a testament to the power of intentional fashion and mindful living. It marks another step in building a community that values creativity, sustainability, and purpose—one thoughtful choice at a time.
