Sharp Philippines Organized A New Environmental Campaign Activity: “Be Sharp, Plant A Tree For A Greener Future”

The entire world is being seriously impacted by climate change, not just the Philippines. Due to the adverse climate, we are already feeling its impacts. The international community has realized how urgently pressing it to solve increasing environmental issues. In this situation, Sharp Corporation, through Sharp (Philippines), formulated Eco Vision 2050, a long-term environmental vision with an emphasis on resource recycling, safety and security, and climate change. This vision aims to be one with the community by minimizing the environmental impact of different business activities.

In keeping with the Sharp Eco Vision 2050, Sharp Philippines Corporation unveiled the “Caring for the Next Generation” branding campaign. One of the campaign’s activities is “Be Sharp, Plant a Tree for a Greener Future” which will run from March 15, 2024 to June 15, 2024. Planting a thousand trees is the goal of this campaign in an effort to mitigate the effects of climate change and contribute to the achievement of a greener, healthier world.

Our partner organization, Nature Awareness & Conservation Club, Inc., affiliated with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), have social and environment responsibility programs in partnership with local people organization of fishing community and farmers with formation on Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP) of DENR. They are well-known for their mangroves and upland tree planting activities in the Philippines.

As part of this initiative, Sharp Philippines and the partner organizations will plant a mangrove tree for every participating Sharp refrigerator model that a customer will purchase. During the low tide season in April, May, and June of 2024, mangrove trees will be planted on a few designated coastal sites in Bataan and Batangas. These trees will help in mitigating the consequences of climate change by protecting the coastlines, supplying marine habitats, and storing carbon.

As a token of appreciation for caring for the environment, customers could request an electronic certificate by filling out the registration form on the official website of Sharp Philippines (ph.sharp). Customers could also send messages via Sharp Philippines’ official Facebook page if they have intention to participate in the actual tree planting. The company would be delighted to have volunteers for this project, since it will be for the benefits of our environment.

Customers could get updates regarding the campaign on the campaign landing page located on the Sharp’s official website. Location and planting schedule regarding the initiative will also be posted on the official social media pages of Sharp Philippines within the campaign duration.

As a committed brand, Sharp Philippines is not just a company that sells products to its customers; it is a company that embodies its dedication to the importance of conservation and sustainability. Truly, Sharp Philippines genuinely cares for the environment and the next generation. Together, let’s make an impact and be part of the solution and reach our one goal: to make our home, the Earth, a better place to live.
