Myles Smith releases new single with Niall Horan ‘Drive Safe’

Myles Smith releases his first single of 2026, Drive Safe, a special collaboration with Niall Horan.

After sparking much anticipation on socials, Myles now officially lifts the curtain on the track, with pre-orders available from today. ‘Drive Safe’ marks the first official collaboration between the two artists. Co-written by Myles Smith and Niall Horan, the song reflects the close creative friendship the pair have developed. Pairing Myles’ emotionally precise songwriting with Niall’s globally celebrated melodic sensibility. The track feels both intimate and effortless, shaped by a shared instinct for honest, heartfelt storytelling.

Speaking on the process of working with Niall Horan, Myles Smith says: “Collaborations only really matter to me when they come from something real, and working with Niall genuinely did. He’s got this effortless instinct for melody, but beyond that he’s a good friend who very quickly became one of my closest. Our friendship shaped the song, and hopefully you can feel it in every line!

All about ‘Drive Safe’

‘Drive Safe’ is built around the idea that life will inevitably throw curveballs and present obstacles. But those moments are manageable when you have the right people around you.

Balancing optimism with honesty, the song frames uncertainty not as something to fear, but as part of the journey. Carried by a bright, guitar-driven energy that feels motivating and affirming. At its heart, “Life is a road, don’t know what’s along the way, so drive safe” becomes a message of reassurance. A reminder for listeners that connection makes even the hardest stretches feel less daunting.

Sonically warm and uplifting, ‘Drive Safe’ sees Myles continue to refine the heartfelt storytelling that has become a hallmark of his work. Built around bright, acoustic textures and an open, understated production, the track creates space for both voices to shine. And with Niall’s contribution adding an expansive, reassuring lift that reinforces the song’s sense of connection and optimism.

The release arrives at a moment of growing momentum for Myles Smith. In the past 12 months, Myles played to over 100,000 people across his own sold-out headline shows. From the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and to North America. In addition to a packed-out Glastonbury performance. Moreover in 2025, Myles won the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work. As well as the Rolling Stone UK Breakthrough Award, covering their Awards Issue. This summer, Myles Smith will join Ed Sheeran as the main support for his US tour.

With ‘Drive Safe’, Myles Smith opens a new chapter – one defined by emotional clarity, artistic confidence and continued global growth – setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
