PIPOL’s Battle of the Brands: Icons and New Contenders Rise

From beauty to business, from innovation to influence, the spotlight shines brighter than ever. Village Pipol, PIPOL mgZn and the VP Choice Awards (VPCA) once again honor the brands, businesses, and entrepreneurs who shape what Filipinos love, trust, and enjoy.

Celebrating Excellence and Legacy

Each year, the VPCA highlights different brands’ creativity, as they continue to remind us that innovation leads to groundbreaking success. Furthermore, the competition intensifies as emerging brands and well-known names in the industry strive for recognition in different categories.

Meanwhile, this year, all eyes are on the upcoming nominees. PIPOL eagerly awaits seeing which brands will shine, inspire, and make their mark in the business world.

The Icons Who Set the Standard

Before the reveal of the next wave of nominees, let’s look back at the brands that raise the bar for their excellence. These winners did not just take home trophies—they became part of PIPOL’s everyday life.

  • Careline – Beauty Cosmetic Brand of the Year
  • Brilliant Skin Essentials Two-time Sunscreen Brand of the Year
  • Anna Magkawas (Luxe Beauty & Wellness Group) – Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Puregold Hall of Fame, three-time Supermarket of the Year
  • Lawson – Convenience Store of the Year
  • Seattle’s BestHall of Fame, three-time Coffee Shop of the Year
  • Mang Inasal – Fast Food Chain of the Year
  • Gcash – E-Wallet of the Year

Each brand symbolizes trust and connection. And as a result, their products continue to shape PIPOL’s lifestyle and identity.

The Brilliance Behind Brilliant Skin Essentials

Among the standout winners, the Brilliant Skin Essentials, led by Miss Glenda, continues to dominate the beauty scene as a true crowd favorite. Since it started, Brilliant Skin has built a massive following with over 1.5 million, and more than 3 million on Miss Glenda’s account.

However, her journey was never easy. Miss Glenda started working at the age of 12 to help her family financially. She also became a virtual assistant at 13 and rose quickly to become a team leader. When her underage status ended that role, she turned to entrepreneurship, selling products from Divisoria at 15.

After meeting a soap factory manager, she was inspired to make her first product: activated charcoal soap. Using credit for her first 3,000 pieces, she slowly built Brilliant Skin into a complete skincare and cosmetic line. Consumers love the brand for its affordable and effective products, which keep them coming back.

After multiple VPCA wins, Brilliant Skin Essentials is now running for the Hall of Fame for the Sunscreen Brand of the Year.

Who Will be the Next Winners?

The attention will surely turn to this year’s nominees as the VPCA approaches. Each brand has worked hard to capture the trust and connection of the PIPOL, showing their dedication to each of their brands.

Now the question remains: who will be the next winners to rise to the top and capture the hearts of the PIPOL?
