Red Room: The Sensual Revolution of Manila’s Nightlife

In the heart of Poblacion, Makati, where the streets hum with eclectic energy, a door opens to a world of fantasy, desire, and liberation every Wednesday. Welcome to Red Room, the bold and unapologetically sensual event brought to life by Casa de Valencia and the iconic LGBTQIA+ hotspot, Hoesik.

The Vision Behind Red Room

Red Room isn’t just a party—it’s a movement. Riri Valencia, a long-standing figure in Manila’s drag community, envisioned it as a space where people could shed societal norms and embrace their authentic selves. Executive producer Jose Panesa adds precision and creativity to the event, ensuring that every detail—from the sultry lighting to the provocative games—creates an atmosphere of intrigue and excitement.

“We wanted to create something more than just a party,” shares Jose. “Red Room is about celebrating individuality, fostering connections, and exploring fantasies in a safe, inclusive environment.”

A Night Like No Other

From the moment you enter, Red Room captivates with its dim, seductive lighting and pulsating beats of sexy pop and techno music. Guests arrive at a dim red-lit bar, dressed to impress, wearing everything from leather to lace, each outfit a testament to the night’s uninhibited energy. The air is electric, charged with curiosity and the promise of unforgettable encounters.

Interactive activities bring the crowd together in thrilling ways. Games like Stick and Dare encourage flirtation through playful dares, while Wheels of Kink takes boldness to the next level by pairing guests for daring tasks on-stage. Then there’s the much-talked-about 69 Seconds Blackout, where the lights dim and participants are invited to connect—consensually, of course—under the cover of darkness.

Hoesik: The Ideal Backdrop

Known for its vibrant Poblahoe community and welcoming vibe, Hoesik provides the perfect stage for Red Room’s thrilling escapades. Its intimate set up and stage complements Casa de Valencia’s bold vision, creating a free space that feels intimate yet electric, mysterious yet liberating.

At the heart of Red Room’s success is its unwavering commitment to inclusivity and consent. Riri Valencia and Jose Panesa emphasize creating an environment where everyone—regardless of gender, sexuality, or experience level—feels safe and respected.

This is shown in their visual loop playing throughout the night, emphasizing that “Nothing is sexier than consent”; up to their games and stickers. This foundation also ensures that every guest can let go of inhibitions and immerse themselves in the night’s magic.

A Talented Lineup of Acts

Red Room’s magic comes alive with its stellar cast of performers. Headlined by Riri Valencia, Casa de Valencia’s co-head, the lineup features queens like Empy Radora, the pride of Hara La Union; Kho Kho JaCole Valencia, a bearded queen with jaw-dropping stunts; and fierce icons Dyxtruxia, Hennessy, Jexie Moore, and Asha Sole. Adding further heat are the Kink Krew—Lance, Harold, RJ, and Raymond—sexy, skilled dancers who electrify the stage. Finally tying it all together is DJ Lej, Metro Manila’s versatile “Oppa DJ,” spinning everything from pop to sultry techno, ensuring an unforgettable night.

What’s Next for Red Room?

Red Room continues to evolve, keeping its audience hooked with unique themes and activities. Upcoming events promise more excitement, with themes like a neon themed Light Bukkake party, shirts off nights, and the cheeky Dark Room every last Wednesday of the month, focused on darker kinks and fantasies.

Furthermore, each theme is a celebration of diversity, creativity, and connection, making every Red Room a new adventure.

Why Red Room Matters

Under the guidance of Hoesik’s Co-owner Fifth Solomon and Casa de Valencia’s Riri Valencia and Jose Panesa, Red Room has become more than a party—it’s a cultural touchstone for Manila’s queer nightlife. Moreover, it champions the freedom to explore and express, offering a rare space where attendees can be unapologetically themselves.

If you’re ready to step outside your comfort zone and into a world of sensual exploration, Red Room is waiting for you.
