Visuals and bops: Cha Eun-woo returns with new music video “Sweet Papaya”
Dubbed as “Face Genius,” Cha Eun-woo gained immense popularity in the K-pop industry and recognition from his peers for his undeniable visuals. Yet, he continues to prove that he’s more than his looks as he is also a triple threat: actor, singer, and dancer.
Cha Eun-woo surprised AROHAs with new content on the release of his music video for “Sweet Papaya” on Friday, November 28, as part of a promotion for his recent mini-album “ELSE,” which came out a week beforehand.

The music video serves as the second music video for his sophomore EP, and marks his return to music, following his solo debut “ENTITY” (2024). It is also his first comeback since his enlistment for South Korea’s mandatory military service, which began earlier this year in July.

Sweet Papaya features a retro vibe and colorful visuals that perfectly match the synth-pop sound and catchy hook as the song progresses. Highlighted in the music video is the adorable quirk of Cha Eun-woo that polarizes his deep voice, but it works, and not to mention his face card, sealing the deal.
The refreshing concept parallels Eunwoo’s actor and idol image and somewhat also reminisces of Baby (2017), After Midnight (2021), and Candy Sugar Pop (2022) by ASTRO, which is a K-pop boy group he is a member of, making it a certified bop, especially to fans.
